Gimme gimme gimme!

I ran across this gem on the Consumerist blog. Long, whiny story short; a dude with a six year old iBook that is 9 months out of the iBook Motherboard Replacement Program calls up ol’ Steve Jobs and wants to have his machine services. Apple’s response is “…at some point, the consumer has to take at least some responsibility.”

Good for Apple! I’m all for holding corporations’ feet to the fire regarding customer satisfaction. But at what point did that translate to “whaaa…give me free shit.”
