    What. the. Fuck?

No, seriously, what the fuck? That has to be the most insane spewing deranged nonsense I think I’ve ever read. And these spitty twats get treated with kid gloves by the so-called liberal media…

    Agent provocateur”

Traditionally, an agent provocateur (plural: agents provocateurs, French for “inciting agent(s)”) is a person employed by the police or other entity to act undercover to entice or provoke another person to commit an illegal act. More generally, the term may refer to a person or group that seeks to discredit or harm another by provoking them to commit a wrong or rash action.

So, you’re claiming that this fuckwit is some sort of sinister left wing plant trying to convince those poor innocent teabaggers to do something foolish? If so, fuck you.

A “sinister left wing plant”? Nothing so paranoid. Just a “Let’s you and him fight” troll.

And I’m not claiming it. Just offering up the possibility that’s what’s going on here.

I probably should have trimmed that down to just the “More generally…” sentence to clarify matters.

BTW, has anyone actually taken the bait and done this?

I only know of one discredited report from the Seattle Times about a congressman’s Cincinnati office window that got something tossed through it. It turned out to be false as the office is actually on the 30th floor of a building. (Though if true, get that person signed to an MLB pitching contract!)

Turns out, “… he once worked as a warehouse manager but now lives on government disability checks.“

Hmm… Lots of politicians trying to milk a ton of publicity about language tamer than your average AMB episode. Not much on actual acts of violence.

I did find a reference to a bullet shot through a window of a campaign office, but that was last year, and that was a non-incumbent Republican.

Okay, snark aside, such threats are stupid and non-productive. But I find that its been blown way out of proportion for political gain. To attempt to tar and feather the whole opposition to the Health Care bill, Stimulus Package, Cap & Trade, etc. with the actions of a few.

I’m sure it’s comforting to just dismiss opponents with demonization. Hell, it’s a game all political philosophies play. It’s only helpful if you’re a talk show host trying to gin up ratings, or trying to stir up people who already agree with you. Which is why I’m not much for the Rush Limbaugh/Glenn Beck circuses.
