The Rude Pundit on Health Care as a Civil Right

As usual, The Rude Pundit nails it. Health care is a civil right, and Progressives need to treat it as such. Additionally, the Democrats need to grow a pair and realize that we voted them a mega–majority for a fucking reason. From the article:

Mostly, though, there’s only one real solution: Democrats have to have the guts to tell Republicans that they’re no longer part of the process. They have not negotiated in good faith and they’re not gonna vote for shit, no matter how watered down. It’s gotta be “Fuck off, fuckers” and bar the door and pass what needs passing.

Warren Ellis called for you, Whiny Dwarf. He wants his pretentiousness back.
  • Why in Satan's name would I care what I hack like Warren Ellis thinks of me. By the by, Jack, I bet you didn't know that webmasters can see the IP address of the people who comment. You do now.

"... pull your head out of Ayn Rand's desiccated cunt and join us out here in civil society...."

    I am totally stealing that.
  • Consider it my gift to the world.

Healthcare is a civil right? Bullshit. This means another has the right to another person's life and that is not a tenable position. Why would anyone go through years of expensive education to get a medical degree just to put their lives under the corrupt and incompetent thumb of the government. It is a responsibility of a society and a good idea to get everyone good healthcare but if you think the government ass-wipes are the ones to do it, you are seriously deluded.

The progressives are two tugs away from being fascists and if you doubt that read up on their history. They were supporters of eugenics, forced sterilizations and adored Mussolini before WW2. More government never solved anything and the only difference between the Dems and the GOP is the pace of march to ruin the country.
  • Oh goody, another fuckwit lolbertarian has come to show us poor deluded rubes the error of our ways. Jack, you rampaging moron, you have exactly on more comment to either amuse me or post something that isn't a worthless right-wing talking point before I use the wonderful new moderation tools to ban the living fuck out of you. Capiche?
  • Jack
Ban away buddy. I enjoy your rants on the freetards but it is clear you have no capacity for critical thought regarding personal freedom. The progs shove their values down our throats every bit as much as the fundies and both need to piss off.

Your amusement is not my concern and your reflexive insults in response to an opposing opinion is just plain sad.
  • See ya' Jackass. I have neither the time, nor the energy to "debate" an idiot who can't formulate a cogent argument. I gave you a chance to express an "opinion" that wasn't some right-wing libertarian talking point, and you chose not to. For the record, my website isn't a place for you to regurgitate the swill fed to you by the Competitive Enterprise Institute, or whichever bunch of cretins did your thinking for you this week. And, if you honestly think that funding healthcare for all members of this society is some sort of affront to your personal fweedoms, well then, pull your head out of Ayn Rand's desiccated cunt and join us out here in civil society. In the meantime, fuck off.

A lot of "Progressives" or "Liberals" or whatever you want to call them are (FINALLY) starting to get really pissed off at the Democrats' fecklessness. I think this is actually Obama's plan - to rile everyone up so that he has the political cover to ram this thing through in budget reconciliation. Because it's never gonna happen in the Senate otherwise.

FFS, I hope that's his plan. If not, he's been played.
