Politics

It occurs to me that it’s been a while since I went on a political toot, and there may be new people here who thought that this pointless exercise in self-indulgence was all Apple, all the time.  Sorry, it ain’t. If that’s a problem, I suggest unsubscribing.

Give ‘em Hell! I get disgusted with most of the Mac-centric forums because there are so many right-wing assholes and gLibertarian shitweasels posting on them. (And they sure as Hell don’t hide their politics under a bushel!) I was shocked to discover this. I honestly thought Mac usage and left-wing politics were inseparable!

Sadly, the days of the late-sipping, beret-wearing Mac user are long gone. With OS X we got the Unix crowd, and with them we got freetards and lolbertarians. It’s sad really.

    I’m still a left-of-center, latte-sipping Mac user, but I don’t own a beret. Two out of three ain’t bad?

Sort of ironically, I came back to the Mac after a long absence because of the Unix underpinnings — although by way of FreeBSD, which in my experience has a markedly lower incidence of Stallman Syndrome than the Linux crowd does.
