Yeah...see, here's an insider tip on this...the counter people never spit in food. We never had to, because you can't see the people making it.

So, when I used to work for BK, (or Hardee's, it applies), and someone was giving the drive-thru person a ration of shit, (and it's never justified. Spare us all the justification. Shitting on someone over fast food is never right), the food prep people would gladly go that extra mile and add a special something to the food. Vegans were the best...you'd just rub meat on their shit, and revenge taken with no risk.

So you just feel all cocky that you could see the drive-thru person and keep an eye on them.

Angry Drunk, I couldn't have said it better. Thank you. The article gave me the SAME feeling (I'm in Call Center Operations too ... it must be in our blood.)

This article is an example for how small-minded and petty Americans have become. They're all getting upset over how some minimum-wage kids are trying to prevent getting fired by their pimply-faced assistant Manager at Burger King, uncovering the great burger conspiracy that prevents them from getting your meat 20 seconds faster. All this without the capacity to think any deeper than their sesame seed bun.

Meanwhile, there is a world out there with actually important issues.

My advice: if someone asks you to back up and pull forward ... Give some poor kid a break and do it.

Well, that was fast. The "taking you on" comment wasn't particularly aimed at you. It was more a reference to previous encounters, where I have actually been threatened with dire consequences for daring to express an opinion counter to the great mommyblogger collective. Truth be told, your post served more as a jumping off point for issues that I wanted to explore than anything else. At any rate, enjoy the croissanwich!

Eh, you won't have to "take me on" - I'm not defensive. Although I will point out that the line about "investigating" was tongue-in-cheek. I actually was craving a croissanwich. Don't get me wrong, I had it in my head to ask the employee what was up if it happened again. I had been to that particular drive-through at least half a dozen times in the past month without that ever happening, so I actually didn't think it would happen again the next morning.
