I’m going to junk punch the next whiny dolt I hear say­ing that “Apple killed the Google Voice app for ‘no good rea­son.’” You may not like it, but lim­it­ing com­pe­ti­tion is a per­fectly good rea­son. Stop con­fus­ing your own wants with moral certitude.

    I agree that Apple is well within their rights to limit com­pe­ti­tion, but if things keep going this way, they will start to drive away devel­op­ers. At which point the App store will become noth­ing but $0.99 crap, games, and pos­si­bly some cheap tie ins to exist­ing Mac soft­ware. If Apple wants to keep play­ing it this way, they should at least give us a way to get app ideas pre-approved, instead of mak­ing us play Russian roulette with months or more of our time and money.
