    Was there a point to that, or was he just mas­tur­bat­ing? Is he just mad that Apple doesn’t con­sider ilounge to have real jour­nal­ists wor­thy of get­ting review units?

    Also, Apple does bulk ship iPods, just only in fixed quan­ti­ties. I think nanos are bulked shipped in incre­ments of 12, 9 is a num­ber less than 12, so that’s why they got 9 boxes instead of 1. But why bother with research?

    I’ve long since stopped try­ing to fig­ure out what Jeremy’s beef with Apple it. I think it has to do with the fact that Steve Jobs doesn’t per­son­ally notify him about each prod­uct launch. It’s basi­cally MacMac enti­tle­tarde­try and New Media Douchebaggery taken to the extreme.

    The only thing I can’t fig­ure out is why any­one takes iLounge seri­ously.

    There was a point, about the time the 3G iPod came out, where there was bur­geon­ing inter­est in these new prod­ucts, but the tra­di­tional media — and even estab­lished Apple sites — really didn’t cater to that inter­est. The vac­uum was filled by shit sites like iLounge, iPod Observer and iPod Garage (iProng, WTF-ever) which have taken off not because they offer any­thing valu­able, but because they got in on the ground floor and a new gen­er­a­tion of Apple prod­uct buy­ers unknow­ingly accepted them as legitimate.

    You have to love the com­ments to the post. All suck­ing iLounge and Jeremy’s cock. I posted a com­ment that dis­agreed with some of what he said, and it was removed. I briefly saw some other com­menters com­plain­ing about get­ting their com­ments removed as well, so it looks like iLounge is just remov­ing all com­ments dis­agree­ing with them. Awesome.
