The technop­un­di­toc­racy insists on vom­it­ing forth arti­cles about how the iPhone 3G’s cam­era com­pares “unfa­vor­ably” with point-and-shoot cam­eras. But I ask you, where are the arti­cles point­ing out the lousy qual­ity of the aver­age point-and-shoot camera’s cell recep­tion com­pared with the iPhone?

    In an analog-only area, my Canon A590is has exactly as good of recep­tion as an iPhone!

    No-one wants to read arti­cles that read “Here, as in many loca­tions, my point-and-shoot has exactly the same cell recep­tion as my iPhone”.

    Well, I don’t par­tic­u­larly enjoy arti­cles that state “The iPhone cam­era isn’t as good as my $300 ded­i­cated point and shoot camera.”
