The technopunditocracy insists on vomiting forth articles about how the iPhone 3G’s camera compares “unfavorably” with point-and-shoot cameras. But I ask you, where are the articles pointing out the lousy quality of the average point-and-shoot camera’s cell reception compared with the iPhone?

    In an analog-only area, my Canon A590is has exactly as good of reception as an iPhone!

    (Well, as far as I know. I don't think the iPhone does analog…)

    No-one wants to read articles that read “Here, as in many locations, my point-and-shoot has exactly the same cell reception as my iPhone”.

    Well, I don't particularly enjoy articles that state “The iPhone camera isn't as good as my $300 dedicated point and shoot camera.”
