I can't imagine the NDA is phrased in such a way that he's allowed to openly discuss everyone he's talked to trying to get the NDA finalized.

It'd be a funky set of Fight Club rules that allowed people to talk about Fight Club.

@Cody Brimhall: Nowhere in his original post did he mention that he had already attempted to contact someone at Apple regarding this issue. When making a post like that, it might have been useful information to include. In his comments on his blog, he cleared that up, and I retract my statement. He still should have disclosed that information, otherwise it just sounded like a whiny entitlement issue.

@Bryan Payne: Seriously, man, where's all that anger coming from? Maybe you shouldn't post on any more forums until you've worked that out.

And anyway, as an experienced publisher, I doubt that it just didn't occur to Dave to give the likely suspects at Apple a ring. Apple has really made a mess of this NDA thing, and I think the point of his post was to ask for help getting in touch with someone who actually makes decisions. You know, the people that don't publish their phone numbers because they have more important things to do than field calls about supporting Ogg and open sourcing the API.

Hardly whining, and hardly retarded. I know this isn't exactly the place for enforcing civility, but at least our drunken friend usually has a good point to make.
